I'm still blown away by this wonderful wedding at Blickling Hall. It all started from an email from South Africa, from Andrea, the sister of the bride (Nicole). She's a photographer herself, has an eye for composition, and knew exactly what style she was after.
She was awesome to speak to, and I was looking forward to meeting her, and her sister. I had high expectations. Not only was Andrea lovely, I had also had a chat with Nicole when she arrived in the UK. She was equally as awesome. The wedding was to be entirely informal, the plans were relaxed.
Upon meeting them, my expectations were totally exceeded. SO down to earth, SO warm. Plus they used the term awesomeness. Always a bonus.
I met Alex, the groom, strangely, at the same time Nicole did on the day, before the ceremony. They planned to walk in together, rather than have Alex wait. Great guy, eloquent, friendly, and huge. A body builder with an accent and demeanour that suited Mr. Bond himself.
Music to my ears. Nicole: "For the bride and groom portraits, can we make the most of these stunning gardens, and especially the trees?"
I didn't need to answer verbally. She saw the delight in my eyes.
As I'm sure you'll notice, Nicole loves elephants. And we both love trees, so we were in heaven at this place.
And on top of that - the weather! An actual summer's day in July :)
