I'll let you into a little secret - when couples who wish to book a wedding ask for chat (albeit in person or online) to see how I am in person, I'm doing exactly the same thing! I shoot a very select number of weddings a year - around 15 - and am lucky enough to be able to be selective. Why? I'm a very personable photographer, I love to have a giggle and chat with the couple (and their guests), and become a part of the wedding. Things flow flawlessly that way and are so much more fun. It's all about resonance, rapport and aligned excitement.
Since Bel lives near me we were able to meet in person, she has such a down to earth, open and humorous personality. Wedding photography was incredibly important to Bel and she adored the idea of spending time on the day having fun with creative portraiture. She's also a cat lover and wanted lots of shots of Prince during preparations. I instantly wanted to shoot her and Joe's wedding!
An outdoor boho wedding in the summer, held at an intimate, stylish outdoor wedding venue in Norfolk - Keeper of the Dell. An outdoor first dance, ice cream and crepes vans, live band and camp fires were the perfect choices. A joy to see my good friend and wonderfully talented acoustic artist The Miserable Man. Joe is an ex forces guy, again, completely down to earth, humble, friendly and always enjoying himself. I also had beard envy. He dons a killer beard.
It was a fantastic wedding, party and celebration. Enjoy the story!
